Dr. Gennady Milikh completed his education from Moscow, USSR in Plasma Physics. The first few years of his professional career were spent in Moscow and in 1988, he moved to the United States.

 In 1988, Dr. Milikh started as an Assistant Professor / Research Associate in the Department of Physics and Astronomy in Clemson University, Clemson, SC. In the year 1990, he started working with the Space Plasma Physics department of the University of Maryland, College Park.
